We are using machine learning to create a plain-film medical imaging analysis system that is faster, more accurate, and far more cost effective than drawing on a finite pool of highly skilled labour to perform these routine tasks.

Each year over one million women attend for a screening mammogram in Australia, and our initial product (AIMS) is already proving to be faster and more accurate (94% vs. 87%) at detecting early signs of breast cancer than a radiologist.  Our system churns through the raw binary data captured from the scanner, which it gives is the benefit of enormous precision when compared to the images that the radiologist needs to work with.

We are also working on developing similar systems to detect anomalies on the millions of unreported chest x-rays which flow through emergency departments every year.
